New Day today.
Good morning everyone. Let's get back to making this campaign a roaring success. We need new High Fives today people. All those IV brothers and sisters who havent yet contributed their $5.00, please do so. It is a great cause and lets face it, IV is the ONLY organization of the legal immigrants, by the legal immigrants, AND FOR the legal immigrants ONLY.

First of all why do U wanna ask that? Its an employment based visa that ur GC is based on. So, ur employer shud ask that. Why are u asking IVans to do something which is not in their control??? I keep getting red and dont mind if I'm banned. But excuse me...u r misleading IVans. My point is this. We can protest, rally based on the delay. Thats pretty much we can do. Inquiring into a Government agency's internal affairs is none of ur business. And I repeat u dont have any rights to do that as u have NO direct link to USCIS. U have applied thru ur employer and ur employer shud speak for u. Do u even get it? Ur statements and arguments have no logic whatsoever and misleading.
I tend to disagree on this. Sorry about that. What you are saying may be true until the case is in LC phase or perhaps, I140 phase. Beyond that, I BELIEVE (correct me if I ma wrong and dont jump on me) that the individual can deal with USCIS as far as queries are concerned. May be, if there was a RFE, then the employer/attorney should dela with. But not queries.
If not, why is USCIS even responding to queries on 485. Are they doing something that they shouldn't be doing??

We applied in Nebraska in August 2003, Cleared in State on August 29th 2003, Transferred to Chicago DOL on Sept 1st 2003..Got Certfied on Oct 16th 2003...So yes..in some states Labor was VERY Quick.
This is precisely the reason why PERM was introduced and backlog elimnation centers .People filing from Nebraska and Alabama were getting labour in 15 days to a months time .

From what I understand many 485 applications(not all)received in accordance to the June bulletin MAY have been preassigned a visa number(from the leftover 60,000 visas) NOT an approval.

Although they are not supposed to pre assign numbers without name checks etc, is'nt it obvious that they might have done that??. They have a lot of cases to approve until Sept 30(from that 60,000 number)
no its not obvious. They have a big backlog of 485s still, and that 60,000 visa numbers can be used up without them having to assign some of those numbers to June 07 filers. See the ombudsmans report for details. If anything, they'll keep some of those visa numbers for people who have been in namecheck long enough, and are expected to get out soon.

Who brought you to this country ? Do you have any kind of formal education or not ?? You don't understand the concept of Public office... USCIS is a public office they are answerable to public, taxpayers like me and others(I'm not sure about you). If each of us thought that way than we wouldn't be here, we have changed several things in the past and will continue our efforts to do so in the future, and BTW what are you doing here, get the H.O. of here...

If you really want, you can make sense of the "disconnected" arguments, as they all address various points of your counter-arguments.
And again, we are unable to get enough members to fight for visa recapture or i-485 filing and you want to go about closing loopholes?
There was no way for me to know, but my "guess" is close enough, dont you think?

So can you force everyone to take higher pay? It's a matter between private persons, isn't it? I guess it is a bigger deal for small guys, as the labor market comes into play. No sense applying it to executives

I finished calling all Senators for the 2nd time. It feels good talking with them about my green card. I also called my Senators in CA. The person on the phone said they support CIR and green cards.

I read through all of your posts.
One question I am not clear is:
I am on H1-B. I don't intend to change my status.
I start my LLC & work part time in the LLC on EAD. Is this possible ?
I am not sure if H1 gets invalidated by doing this. If so, the only alternative I found is hire others to do it or open a partnership LLC.
Am I correct ?

My wife has H1B processed in maiden name -(i 797, i-94, stamping). she recently changed her maiden name to married name. she changed her name in SSN and Passport. DMV in NJ are asking to change the name in immigration office. We spoke to the immigration authority and they say there are no relevant forms to make the name change. If anybody have solution let me know.
