Seriously, does anyone have the transcript and slides/charts used? The good professor (Wadhwa) might be right, or wrong, or both. But I want to take a good look at the charts and the raw data. As they say, extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence.
Of course, it is all an academic exercise.. Prof. Wadhwa (or me) can no more affect the global movement of knowledge and capital than King Canute could hold back the tide. But, it is far better an exercise than getting in the mud pit and hurling at each other :rolleyes:

Hey I was in similar situation. My current H1 is expiring on Sept 30th 2007 and my extension application was filed on Aug 22nd 2007. So I was not expecting my H1 to be approved till way beyond Sept. But then I checked with Local DMV in virginia and they told me I can get a temporary 1 year extension on my DL if I can show them the receipt of my H1 extension application. I got that from my employer and my DL by extended by 1 Yr till Aug 22 2008 ( date when H1 was applied) my state is Virginia if that info helps.

2. drive the kids up and down, do the shopping, etc etc because the desperate h4 can't move a finger.

I do not buy this argument because how come NSC is approving peoples I-140 filed concurrently in July-Aug 2007 or even non-concurrently filed as late as Oct 2007? How come Eb2 is moving so fast in NSC ?
How come Eb2 and Eb3 for Non-concurrent filers in TSC is moving so fast ?
They have taken some deliberate steps internally not to process certain applications - which is Unfair and Illegal from a USCIS FIFO perspective and that is what we are trying to Protest professionally.

Digging it is fine, but dont forget to email it. That is the best way to keep it visible. Email it to your friends, colleages, etc.
By the way, I checked at www.digg.com and articles such as "Geek Squad Caught On Video Stealing Porn From Customer's Computer" are number 1. Our issues are nowhere at the top, (or anywhere). The geek squad article, though numero uno on digg, is not exactly CNN headlies, to put it mildly.
Common sense tells me digg is hugely over rated. Focus energies on the real deal guys.

SriKondoji & I both being from the NE area we communicated through this thread possibility of car polling for DC and I received a call from him last thursday(Aug 9th) regarding this from some Ohio area code. So buddyinus I can at least assure you he was travelling at that time.

He mislead ppl on the other thread and ppl started booing him. But he was goin on and on and on...I just realised he was the one to start this thread too...Its already 6 days since Monday and this thread is still alive. Doz he even have any decency to acknowledge his mistakes. Admins...When somebody reads something like "June end and July 2nd filers receipts by monday" on ur homepage they get excited. Bottom line is, its misleading. The "Monday" is already gone and nobody knows when USCIS will process July 2nd receipts. Pls delete this thread. SriKondoji is notorious for spreading false rumours.

One last question, if you don't mind.
I assume yours is a conventional loan, how much equity do you have on your home, and how much down payment did you make on your home purchase first time?
I have a 30 Year fixed loan. I made more than 20% downpayment and since I bought my house only few months back not much change in equity yet.

For the ROW category, the manual seems to indicate that they have a general date (such as in the Visa Bulletin) but I would expect that they have many visa counts for each country..... Anyone have a quick synopsis of how they handle that?
